As everyone is well aware, it was all change in the Swansea City treatment room over the summer with two new recruits joining the medical team.
Having introduced you to Cerian Parham, our new head physio, in the Middlesbrough programme last Saturday, today it's the turn of Chantelle Thomas.
Sports therapist Chantelle (who is much easier on the eye that Cerian!) has joined the club as chief masseur and assistant physio.
Born in Wrexham, Chantelle has a sports science degree from UWIC as well as high level diplomas in sports massage and sports therapy.
She has previously worked for Cardiff Blues, Cardiff RFC, the senior Welsh women's football team and Britain's elite Olympic and Paralympic athletes as part of UK Sport.
A former national swimmer for Wales, Chantelle turned to studying sports science when she was struck down with glandular fever.
"I was ill for nearly 12 months,'' explained Chantelle. "While it ended my swimming career, it also highlighted a serious lack of sports science support out there for people like me.
"I had seen it happen to a lot of swimmers so I decided to sign up for the sports science course at UWIC so that I could not only help myself, but others as well.''
Although Chantelle doesn't exactly miss the 5am starts as a swimmer, she is still being kept busy looking after the needs of the Swans.
"I've been working part-time for the club for the last eight months, so I know most of the squad,'' she added.
"They have been really professional with me and responded well.
"There is a good sports science structure in football, especially with regards to rehabilitation.''
