Opening day victory for Under-18's

Posted on: Mon 18 Aug 2008

Swansea City's youth team carried on their momentum from last season with a fine 4-1 victory over Bristol Rovers on Saturday.

Kieran Howard, Matthew Wright, Casey Thomas and first-year scholar Adam Orme were all on target for Tony Pennock's side on a wet morning at Fairwood in the opening Puma Youth Alliance South West Conference clash of the campaign.

There is no game for the youngsters next weekend but Yeovil Town will be the visitors a week on Saturday (August 30).

The club can now confirm that youngsters Kerry Morgan, Kyle Graves, Stefan Morrison and Scott Evans have been loaned out to Welsh Premiership clubs Neath FC and Port Talbot Town.

Dion Chambers and James Burgin have also signed for Neath FC and Port Talbot respectivey. As they hadn't signed professional contracts with the Swans they couldn't be loaned out so instead have signed on at The Gnoll and the GenQuip Stadium until the January transfer window opens.
