The Northern Ireland Under-21 striker joined the Swans in January on a three-and-a-half year contract from Cliftonville
A highly-rated youngster, Donnelly opted to join the Swans despite interest from Liverpool and Everton.
Donnelly, who came through the ranks at Ardoyne Youth Club, had already bagged 17 goals for Belfast-based Cliftonville before his move to South Wales.
He made his first outing for the Swans in a 1-0 victory over Hereford in a practice match.
Was called up to the senior Northern Ireland squad for the friendly with Holland in May, 2011, and was an unused substitute in the 6-0 defeat.
